Hey, I’m Courtney.

Let’s get to know each other.

I’ve been drawn to aesthetics, creativity, and beauty my entire life. After trying to make myself go the traditional route with college and majoring in public relations, I finally decided to do a 180 and explore what I am most passionate about. I was offered the opportunity to film a friend’s wedding for free, just to get my feet wet, and I fell in love with it. I decided to go back to school for film, video, and media studies and have never looked back. In May 2022, I was able to turn my photography and videography business into a full-time endeavor. These days, Courtney Lee Films does about a 50-50 split between photography and videography.  

My photography style is genuine and non traditional -- I love to take photos that feel perfect, even if they don’t look technically perfect. I want my clients to be able to look at their photos and videos and feel the laughter, romance, and joy they felt during their special moments so that they can relive them time and time again. My focus is always on connection, authenticity, and honest emotion.

As for me personally, I am a proud dog mom to my Aussie, Rhett. He is my world and is the best friend I could ever ask for. I’ve been through every life change imaginable since starting my photography journey, from moving cities to going to college to relationships and breakups. Ultimately, it’s been a crazy, beautiful, winding journey that landed me exactly where I am supposed to be.
